Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Strong conflict management and problem-solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Competence in numerical skills and computer literacy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Compile and cost institutional demand and procurement plans
- Source suitable suppliers using the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Print and compile quotations and all supporting documentation
- Capture requisitions for the creation of Purchase Orders
- Follow up on outstanding deliveries to ensure timely supply
- Record all received and issued stock on VA10 and VA11 bin cards and Excel spreadsheets
- Compile monthly theoretical stock movement reports
- Calculate minimum and maximum stock levels for the new financial year
- Ensure continuous availability of stock at all times
- Barcode and allocate new assets
- Manage the movement of assets between different areas
- Capture Goods Received Vouchers (GRVs), clear web cycles, and liaise with suppliers
- Update monthly acquisition spreadsheets
- Participate in bi-annual stocktaking exercises
- Execute any lawful instruction as delegated by the supervisor or authorised official
